Ford is committed to bringing us more electric vehicles as time goes on. Already there are two standouts: the Ford Mustang Mach-E performance crossover, and the Ford F-150 Lightning, an electrified version of the truck. One thing that people will want to see in the future is charging times go down, and the automaker is looking to develop technology that can bring down charging to about five minutes.

With the help of Purdue University, Ford is developing its own set of liquid cooling that phases the liquid into vapor to improve its ability to dissipate heat. That means that we'll get a charger that can charge up EVs faster. Right now, using fast charging options in public and with the right in-home setup, you can get to 80 percent charged in 20 to 40 minutes depending on the vehicle. If that goes down to five minutes, it will certainly change the calculus of EV driving. We hope they find their research to be fruitful.

Of course in the meantime, we're happy to provide you with all the details you need on new Ford vehicles here at the dealership. To learn more, contact us today and we'd be happy to assist you soon!
